About
About Coffee Studies
Coffee Studies is an evidence-led coffee education project. We cover caffeine, brewing science, beans and origins, instant and decaf coffee, coffee alternatives, and functional coffee — in plain English, with citations you can check.
Who publishes this site
Coffee Studies is published by Nature Lion Inc., a Canadian company that also makes Shyne Coffee, a freeze-dried instant mushroom coffee. We say this up front because credibility starts with transparency: this site exists both to be genuinely useful and to support a coffee business we care about.
What that does not change: the editorial content here is written to stand on its own. Sponsored placements for Shyne are always labelled, never woven into the editorial text, and never make health claims.
How we handle evidence
- Factual claims are cited against our source library of studies, agency guidance, and official datasets, graded by evidence strength.
- We use cautious language — “associated with,” “may,” “research suggests” — and we distinguish observational research from causal evidence.
- Health-related articles carry a disclaimer: our content is educational, not medical advice.
- Articles are written under the collective byline Coffee Studies Editorial and reviewed before publication.
What we are not
We are not a university, a medical institution, or a certified research body — and we do not pretend to be. We are also not a product-review or affiliate site: no “best coffee maker” roundups, no comparison shopping, no affiliate links.
Corrections
If you find an error or a citation that does not support a claim, we want to know. Contact us at hello@coffeestudies.com and we will review and correct promptly.
