Corrections

If something here is wrong, we would rather know. Every factual claim on this site is meant to be traceable to a source you can check, so a correction is usually quick to settle one way or the other.

What helps most, in one email:

• The page, by link or title.
• The sentence you think is wrong, quoted.
• What you believe is correct, and ideally where that comes from. A study, an agency document or a manufacturer's own specification all settle things far faster than a general disagreement.

Corrections to the substance of an article are made in the article, and the updated date at the top moves. We do not quietly edit a claim and leave the date alone.

Please do not send us anything private about yourself. There is nothing we need, and a correction never requires it.

Sources and research questions

Every citation is listed in the source library, with a link to the original. If a link has died, or a paper has been retracted or superseded, that is worth an email: it is exactly the kind of thing a site like this should stay on top of and will not always catch by itself.

What we do not do

• Guest posts, link exchanges and paid placements. Not for any price, and an offer will not get a reply.
• Reviewing products sent to us. Nothing here is based on a free sample, because we do not accept them. How the site is funded is set out on the about page.
• Medical questions. We summarise published research and cite it. We cannot tell you what caffeine will do to you specifically, and anything on this site that touches health is general information rather than advice.
